The Momentum gsport Awards is a pinnacle event in South Africa’s sporting calendar, dedicated to honouring and elevating the profiles of women in sport.
The gsport Awards is Africa’s longest-running women’s sport recognition platform and its 18th hosting marks its enduring dedication to women’s sports. The platform unearths new icons and role models who are relentlessly breaking barriers, both on and off the field.
In 2023, more than 500 nominations were received across 20 categories, of which the panel of judges announced 3 finalists in each category, followed by a period of public voting. The winner of each category was announced live at the Momentum GSport Awards Gala Evening on Tuesday 12th September, held at The Wanderers Club in JHB.
Natasha PETERSEN has at the 18th edition of this Awards in 2023, been announced as the winner of the category Telkom Woman of the Year.
